Me-Made-May

30 Apr

Ever since I heard of Me-Made-May I’ve always wanted to take part. Unfortunately at the time I had only 2 handmade dresses so that didn’t really work out.

Last year I probably had enough garments to have a semi-decent crack at it but it totally slipped my mind!

Luckily I’ve had this on my mind ever since last May and now May is approaching I’m already planning outfits!

Seeing as I’ve never done one before and I don’t have a completely handmade wardrobe (yes I’m ashamed to admit I do sometimes delve into the realms of shop-bought) I can’t really pledge a full 7 days. But I am going to try super hard to wear as much handmade as possible, which might mean sewing up a few more things!

I, Courtney of Makesphere, pledge to wear at least 1 handmade item for 4 days every week during Me-Made-May May 2014.

I know some people go totally hardcore and even pledge not to repeat outfits but I’m really not at that stage! What I really need to do is whip up some tops and crack open the Sewaholic patterns I’ve had sitting around for 2 months now!

Anyone else joining in Me-Made-May?

Looking forward to seeing it! I’ve succeeded today but there’s only 4 days in this week so it’s going to be tough!!

Wow! happy for you to finally join in! I also always wanted to, but I don’t think I have enough handmade basics for everyday. I’ve made a whole bunch of clothes in the past 2 years but not all of them are suitable for spring.Well, but I’m looking forward to seeing your and Freya’s makes!

Mine aren’t exactly suitable for spring but we’re not having spring weather! lol. My attire doesn’t really change all year from a dress and a cardigan- in the middle of summer maybe sans cardigan but still a dress!
